Cool City Avionics Awarded PMA

Cool City Electronics Inc., dba Cool City Avionics (CCA), announces that it has been awarded an FAA PMA for its SAS-100 stability augmentation system.

This is the company’s first PMA approval, which permits it to manufacture and market its SAS-100. The PMA was awarded after an intensive audit of CCA’s quality management system that was focused on how the company designs and manufactures its products.

“The granting of this PMA approval is an important step in the expansion of our business. We are proud of having achieved this milestone,” says Jim Irwin, CCA president and CEO.

CCA has already received FAA TSO for its SAS-100 stability augmentation system, as well as an STC for its installation in Robinson R44 helicopters. The company expects to receive the TSO for its FT-100 Force Trim System in June, along with the STC for its installation in the R44. The company is in the final stages of FAA certification for four of its automatic flight guidance control systems for helicopters.
