We Have a Winner!

Last year, our editor Fred Polak had an idea – why not launch a Helicopter Maintenance magazine Helicopter Mechanic of the Year Award? We started discussing the idea, and decided to give it a go. With the help of our Editorial Advisory Board, a set of guidelines for the award applicants was developed, and the award was officially announced last August, with a deadline of December 31st for award nominations. Well, I am proud to announce that we have a winner. The recipient of Helicopter Maintenance magazine’s 2013 Helicopter Mechanic of the Year Award is…..

Sorry, we’re not ready to officially announce the winner yet. The winner has been notified and will be traveling to HAI HELI-EXPO 2014 in Anaheim, CA to receive the award. We would like to thank all of those who submitted nominations for our award. Based on the success of the inaugural award, you can bet we’ll be doing it again!
