Heli-One Receives STC Approval for RNP Modification for H215/AS332 L1e

Heli-One, a provider of helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, receives EASA supplemental type certificate (STC) approval for its required navigation performance (RNP) approach modification for the Airbus H215 helicopter. The modification adds RNP approach capability down to localiser performance with vertical guidance (LPV) minima, which resolves future obsolescence issues for instrument landing systems (ILS) and enhances situational awareness.

Safran Helicopter Engines signs a contract with Coldstream Helicopters Ltd. to support Makila engines powering its AS332L1 Super Puma fleet. This Support-By-the-Hour (SBH®) contract formalizes a long-term maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and services agreement supporting Coldstream’s Makila 1A1 engines. Coldstream is the global launch customer for this SBH® program, which Safran has specifically designed for utility operators of the Airbus Super Puma family.

Law Enforcement Agencies Upgrade to Airbus H125 Helicopters

Law enforcement agencies throughout North America are placing orders for Airbus H125 helicopters, providing their communities with a valuable tool as they work to protect and ensure the safety of their citizens. In total, nineteen H125s were booked for law enforcement missions in 2022. Notable new bookings were made by existing Airbus customer York Regional Police, as well as new Airbus customers Kansas Highway Patrol and Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police.

THC (The Helicopter Company) announces at HAI Heli-Expo 2023 that it plans to further expand its fleet of Leonardo AW139 intermediate twin-engine helicopters to reinforce search and rescue (SAR), emergency medical services (EMS) and corporate transport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The company is looking to engage in negotiations to procure an additional six units, adding to the existing fleet plus 20 options.

To this end, the parties will jointly measure the added value of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for a selection of medical-services use cases across the country to integrate the operational requirements right into the configuration of Airbus’ eVTOL.
