Jeff Pino Foundation Provides Opportunity for Local Students to Attend Heli-Expo 2024

In partnership with Helicopter Association International (HAI), the Jeff Pino Foundation (JPF) announces that 150 students from the Anaheim, CA, area have been exclusively invited to attend HAI Heli-Expo 2024 on Feb. 29, making it possible for students specializing in aviation and STEM-related fields to explore the world's largest show dedicated to rotorcraft.

The Jeff Pino Foundation has invited students from Canyon High School and Corona High School, along with selected schools from the Bonita Unified School District, based on their studies in aviation and STEM disciplines. This unique opportunity aims to inspire and provide exposure to the promising careers within the rotorcraft industry.

“Attending Heli-Expo is a transformative experience for these students, offering them a chance to engage with industry leaders, speak directly to OEMs and their suppliers, and gain valuable insights into the rotorcraft industry,” says Greg Brown, director of Education and Training Services, HAI. “This experience goes beyond classrooms and textbooks, providing them with a hands-on encounter with the latest innovations, technologies and industry experts. It's a stepping stone towards a future in the dynamic field of aviation."

"We are thrilled to collaborate with HAI in bringing students to Heli-Expo 2024," says Greg Allen, chairman and CEO of the Jeff Pino Foundation. "Connecting young minds with industry professionals and cutting-edge technology is crucial for fostering innovation and passion within the rotorcraft sector — and the main goal of JPF,"

The creation of the Jeff Pino Foundation serves as a tribute to the life and enduring impact of Jeff Pino, an industry leader who encouraged young individuals to explore careers in aviation. The foundation has an established scholarship program for high school seniors who aspire to pursue degrees in aviation-related fields, obtain a pilot license, or achieve certifications in aircraft maintenance. Furthermore, the Foundation actively sponsors programs such as A is for Aerospace, Project Cub, and Camp Soar. This is the second year it has sponsored local area students to attend Heli-Expo.

The Jeff Pino Foundation invites individuals and organizations to support this initiative by volunteering during Heli-Expo or contributing to the foundation's efforts. To make a difference in the lives of these students, visit pinofoundation.org.
